Wine List

The wines on our wine list represent the globe. With concentration on the major regions of France, Italy and the U.S. With over 250 bins the list is both deep and diverse. The list will suit both the most critical connoissuer, and the everyday wine enthusiast in search of great value.

All wines are bought by Chef-Owner Adam Zieminski, who also writes the wine list and chooses the wine pours. If there is a more specific question about a wine please don't hesitate to ask a server for his adivce. Also we encourage decanting wines that may need to open more, especially big reds, and aged reds for full expression of flavors. We store all of our wine in a temperature controlled cellar, on the lower level of the cafe for optimum quality.

Because of the care, depth, and bredth in selection of our wine list we have been recognized by the Wine Spectator Magazine and issued an Award of Excellence 2011.

We do not offer a corkage service. In accordance with the Massachusetts ABCC, an on premise full liquor license prohibits BYOB.

Lightly carbonated cider. Interesting fermentation of French Apples, leaves creamy, clean, crisp notes with low residual sugar and alcohol.

PARES BALTA, CAVA, PENEDES, SPAIN- NV (ORGANIC)

Apleasant sparkling wine from Spain, a great aperitf with our some crunchy & salty tapas. If you like prosecco you'll love Cava. The grapes are organically raised with little to no sulfur in the bottling process.

DUVAL LEROY, ROSÉ CHAMPAGNE, FRANCE-NV

Sometimes known as the 'house' champagne of Paris. This authentic champagne has a rose tint from the pinot noir grape. It is dry and nimble with lush notes of strawberry and brioche. A perfect way to toast the holiday season.

PRENDO, WILHELM WALCH, PINOT GRIGIO, ALTO ADIGE, ITALY 2010 (ORGANIC)

A beautiful mineral expression of pinot grigio from the northernmost region in Italy. Tightly wound with good acid and minerals, much more concentrated than the more flabby pinots from middle and southern Italy.

CHATEAU BONNET, ENTRE DU MERS, WHITE BORDEAUX, FRANCE - 2010 ($8/glass) ($15/carafe)

A blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, and Muscadelle. Extremely aromatic with a balanced fruity, perfumed nose, and a crisp finish.

DR. LOOSEN, RIESLING, 'RED SLATE' MOSEL, GERMANY- 2009

This wine is a from a world renowned producer and a true value. This wine goes well with light meats, chicken and almost all chesses.

CHATEAU SANCERRE, SANCERRE, LOIRE, FRANCE- 2010

A little known, but very fine Sancerre, poured year round-never and never disappoints.

Nice chalk, stone and lemon round out this dry white wine. Best friend of raw oysters.

FERRARI CARRANO, 'Tre Terre' CHARDONNAY, SONOMA, CALIFORNIA- 2009

An amazing glass of Chardonnay, crisp and buttery at the same time. A special bottling for cafe ADAM only, not available in retail stores.

Goes well with light meats, rabbit, poultry, cream based dishes, and most fish.

REDS

GERARD BERTRAND, CORBIERS, LANGUEDOC, FRANCE- 2009

A spicy, lively wine, with a smooth finish. Warm climate, bordering Spain, fully ripens grapes for big flavors.

This is a classic example of a Bistro wine, perfect pair for Cassoulet, hanger steak or grilled sausages.

Sablet is a micro region in the Rhone. Nearly seven years in the bottle, ageing has done this wine well. Only one case left in our cellar.

Wine flavor profile is cranberry, raspberry, black pepper, clove, and a dry finish.

BRICCOTONDO, BARBERA d'ALBA, PIEDMONT, ITALY- 2010

A delicious glass of nebbiolo, with lush chocolate, dark cherry, leather and tobacco. A great, rich, winter Italian wine.

Perfect with Piedmontese ingredients such as cured ham, truffles, pasta, risotto and braised meats. Will also hold up to a grilled steak.

Barbaresco is known as the 'Queen' of Italian wines, we consider this Barbera to be the 'Princess'.

MICHEAL POZZAN, CABERNET SAUVIGNON, 'Special Selection', OAKVILLE, NAPA, CALI- 2008

A gorgeously smooth, and velvety cabernet, with perfect balance and a long finish. A nice baked cherry pie component

is present, fresh red fruit, and subtle oak.

BEN MARCO, MALBEC, MENDOZA, ARGENTINA- 2009

Our long-time favorite Malbec, three years on the pour list. Velvety plum, prune, cherry, spice box. Pure Mendoza.

A touch of Bonarda grape blends in a beautiful gamey-savory note. Ben Marco is among the best in Argentina.

Pictured above, Joseph Carr is a friend of ours. He is producing great California Boutique wines in classic European form. In 2009 he supplied all the wines for the Berkshire James Beard House dinner.

Doug Magerum met up with Adam in 2009 and turned him onto his M5 Rhone Blend from Santa Barbara. Cafe Adam also stocks his Sybaryte Sauvignon Blanc which was rated #82 on Wine Spectators 2011 top 100 wine list.
